We Came, We Saw, We Kicked Glass

I was recently in a Tae-Bo class in LA.  Well, technically it’s called Drenched Cardio but it seems to have all the same moves as Tae-Bo.  Plus, the proprietors are Billy Blanks’* brother and sister.  The Drenched cardio guys get mad if you call it Tae-Bo.  We settled on me calling it Drenched Cardio and simultaneously winking. I would add a nudge but Michael Blanks is 6’4’’ and jacked…so, he might nudge back.  I love how descriptive the name is.  It’s an intense cardio workout and you actually leave drenched…brilliant!  I‘m not writing this from a Coffee Shop; No, I’m in an unsellable screenplay manufacturing room.

QSN: I used to work in a place in downtown Brooklyn called for Goodness Steak. It was set up just like a Sizzler.  They even took Sizzler coupons but managed to escape those pesky franchising fees.

But I digress. The Drenched Cardio class 😉 is always filled to the rim with people trying to stay fit.  I’m sure that even if you just stood in the class and did nothing, the body heat alone would provide a moderate workout.  So, we’re doing squats with a kick, when I look up and see a girl doing her exercises outside on the street. She was just beyond the glass following our every move.  Genius!  She was cool, had all the room she needed and if she was really gangster, didn’t even pay for the class.  I’m thinking about taking up karate using this method.  I’ll just stand outside of a dojo and follow their moves.  And when the sensei comes out I’ll remind him that we live in a free country.  It would be great if he tried using physical force and I used the moves he himself had unknowingly taught me to take him down. Then all his students would leave him and sign up for my karate classes which I would obviously teach in the park.
